AWS Cloud Management, Architecture and Security

Management, architecture, security and what the bill is buying

We run AWS estates for companies whose infrastructure has outgrown a simpler platform, across four areas that tend to arrive together: how the accounts are managed, how the architecture is drawn, how access and evidence are handled, and what the bill is actually buying. We are registered in the AWS Partner Network, and the wording there is deliberate. AWS recognises a member as an AWS Partner once they meet the requirements of one of its Paths, which we have not done, so this is a registration rather than a recognised partnership, and certainly not a tier or an endorsement by Amazon.

Why we build on it

Why we chose AWS

01

The architecture can be right for a decade

Account structure, network boundaries and identity are the decisions that are cheap to make once and expensive to revisit. AWS is built so those can be drawn properly at the start and still hold when the company is four times the size, which is most of why larger organisations stay.

02

Governance is a feature rather than a policy document

Separation between environments, teams and customers can be enforced by the platform instead of by a wiki page nobody reads. For a company with an auditor, a second team touching production, or data it has promised to fence off, that difference is the whole reason to be here.

03

Nothing is missing when the requirement arrives

The requirement you cannot predict is the one that decides a platform. Regulated storage, a specific residency, an attestation a customer asks for in a contract: AWS has an answer already, and not having to leave is worth more than the line item that pays for it.

What we do on it

The work this partnership sits behind

We are registered in the AWS Partner Network. AWS reserves recognition as an AWS Partner for members who meet the requirements of one of its Paths, and we have not, so registered is the accurate word. It gives us partner training, technical resources and a route to AWS when a customer environment needs scoping.

What the membership changes

  • AWS accounts, identity and networking run as day-to-day operations rather than a side job
  • Architecture reviewed against what the company will need next, not only what it runs today
  • Security and access built the way an auditor will eventually read them
  • Cost audits that find the spend nobody has looked at, with governance so it stays found

What it does not mean

Registration in a partner programme is not a tier, a certification, or a statement by AWS about our work. It also does not make AWS the right platform for you. We have written publicly that most early teams do not need it yet, and we still think so. The reason to be here is a workload that has genuinely outgrown the alternatives, and if yours has not, we will say so.

All product names, logos and brands are the property of their respective owners, used here only to identify each partner programme. Nothing here implies that any of them endorses our services.
